I am an artist and designer transitioning to a new career in outdoor recreations. I have over a decade of experience working in advertising as an art director/designer. This work helped me to develop into a hard-working and efficient professional. My previous career taught me creative problem solving, rational thinking, clear verbal and written communication, comfort with a variety of complex technologies, to be adaptive in diverse situations, and love for mentoring and inspiring those up-and-coming in the field, I thoroughly enjoy sharing ideas and storytelling. I work comfortably both independently and collaboratively as needed.

As a first-generation child of immigrants, my parents were often working and didn’t have time to take us for leisure activities. They also both grew up in Mexico where the culture of outdoor recreation and leisure was not part of their upbringing. I fell in love with the outdoors in my late 20s when I finally had time and resources to really appreciate nature. I spend a lot of my time recharging through disc golfing, mountain biking, hiking, birding, and plein-air painting.
